Newalta Forms Strategic Alliance with Halliburton To Offer Engineered Fluids and Waste Management Solutions in Canada

CALGARY, ALBERTA - Feb. 3, 2014 /CNW/ - Newalta Corporation (TSX:NAL) has formed a strategic alliance with Baroid, a Halliburton (NYSE:HAL) Product Service Line, to offer an integrated solution for fluids and waste management in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. The alliance will provide a Total Fluids Management™ system.

Total Fluids Management™ combines technology and resources from each company to better manage fluids and waste on drilling rigs. Aligning Baroid's customized drilling fluids with Newalta's cuttings treatment and environmental solutions will enable drilling rigs to recover more oil and water from the drilling process while substantially reducing the landfilling of waste.
